Infinity Infusion Solutions Marks 11 Years With a Campaign Celebrating Women Leading Infusion Care

For independent infusion providers, leadership is visible in the work done every day: building practices, caring for patients, guiding teams and improving how infusion care is delivered.
During National Women in Business Month, Infinity Infusion Solutions (IIS) is putting that work in focus through its Women Leading Infusion Care campaign. Learn more about IIS and its leadership.
Founded in 2015 by Tamra Townsend and Katie Ivy, the women-owned healthcare company is marking 11 years by recognizing nine women leaders within its network. Throughout the month, IIS will share their perspectives and experiences as clinicians, entrepreneurs, executives, business owners and advocates contributing to the future of independent infusion care.
IIS supports more than 2,700 member infusion sites across all 50 states. Through Women Leading Infusion Care, the company is recognizing nine women whose careers demonstrate the many forms leadership can take across the infusion-care community. Learn more about IIS membership benefits.
The featured women represent different roles, specialties and professional paths. Their stories share important common threads: commitment to patients, confidence to challenge what can be better, resilience through change and a willingness to create opportunities for others.
“This campaign is meaningful to me because it gives us an opportunity to recognize the incredible women who are doing the work every day—building practices, caring for patients, leading teams and changing how infusion care is delivered,” said Tamra Townsend, CEO and Co-Founder of Infinity Infusion Solutions.
“As a woman-owned and women-led company, Katie and I are proud of what we have built, but IIS is also surrounded by remarkable women throughout our team and member network who are entrepreneurs and leaders in their own right. I love having the opportunity to tell their stories and celebrate the impact they are making.”
The campaign will feature individual profiles highlighting career journeys, accomplishments, leadership perspectives, approaches to patient-centered care and visions for the future of healthcare.
One of the women being recognized is Ashley Knapp, RN, BSN, MBA, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Local Infusion.

Supporting women physicians and healthcare leaders
The campaign also includes the Women Leading Infusion Care Giving Initiative in support of Women in Medicine® (WIM), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing women in healthcare.
In recognition of IIS’s 11th anniversary and the nine women featured in the campaign, IIS is contributing $11,000 to support CME costs for the Women in Medicine® Fellowship and its founding cohort of 15 women physician and healthcare leaders.
Women in Medicine® advances women in healthcare through education, mentorship, leadership development and professional opportunity. Its Fellowship is a selective, high-engagement leadership experience for early- and mid-career women across clinical and non-clinical healthcare disciplines.
