Building With Purpose
For Katie Ivy, leadership has always been closely connected to purpose.
When Katie and Co-Founder Tamra Townsend launched Infinity Infusion Solutions in 2015, they saw an opportunity to make infusion therapies more accessible and affordable for independent providers while allowing them to remain focused on their patients.
Building that vision meant entering a space that did not fit neatly into an existing category and helping others understand a different approach to supporting independent infusion care.
“We wanted change and not everyone was ready for it.”
More than a decade later, Katie remains focused on building an organization—and an industry—that continues moving forward.
Leading by Example
Katie defines her leadership style simply: lead by example.
“We put in the hard work every day, and we would never expect anything from our team that we wouldn’t expect from ourselves.”
For Katie, leadership means working alongside her team, holding one another accountable and staying committed to a shared mission. It also means having the confidence to challenge the status quo and make space for other women to do the same.
“We need to support one another, create opportunities for each other, and make sure our voices are heard.”
Her advice to women stepping into leadership is equally direct: be bold, take chances and lift other women up.
Keeping the Patient at the Center
Through every stage of Katie’s career at IIS, one principle has remained constant: The patient is, and always has been, IIS’s why.
Katie believes supporting patient access means helping providers obtain the therapies their patients need while giving them the resources and support to deliver that care.
Looking ahead, she sees significant opportunity in the continued development of infusion therapies and the possibilities those treatments can create for patients. Her hope is for a healthcare landscape where unnecessary barriers are removed, providers have affordable access to the therapies they need and patients can benefit from more accessible care.
